Default Accord Muffler

Hi, I'm new to this form and I was wondering if someone might be able to answer my question.
I have a 1997 Honda Accord EX with the 2.2 VTEC and I recently purchased a Cherrybomb Glasspack muffler with a 2 1/4 inlet and outlet diameter I want to put the Cherrybomb where my muffler used to be (I know some people who put it in between the piping of the exhaust further up by the cat) will the size of this cherrybomb fit? If not, what size will?
Thank You

What's the overall length of this piece?

Is this an oval muffler or is this the traditional "no attempt at silencing at all" example Cherry Bomb is noted for?

I hope you've a good supply of Dyno-Mat.

This is the traditional straight through design
The entire piece is 25 7/8" long

You might want to verify this with a tape measure b4 you cut anything.
I believe the OEM oval expansion muffler has a body length of 18" with a 4" inlet neck.
You may be able to shorten the intermediate pipe enough to shoe-horn the muffler completely under everything, but I'm thinking you may be up against the last bend in the pipe and won't be able to pull it off.

I'd strongly suggest that you get under there with a yard stick or a tape measure and take both the measurements you need and a few deep breaths.
The OD" of your original pipe isn't anywhere near 2.25". You'll probably find that the inlet neck of the "Bomb" will be too big and require adapters (which is problamatic since they add length too).

And then there's the "How do I hang this %$^#@" question which requires some thought too......

Thanks for the reply and the advice.
Wow, so I definitely got the wrong size.
Funny thing was, I went to Autozone and asked for a cherrybomb that is compatible with a 1997 Accord and they went on the computer and and then went to the back of the shelves and brought me the Cherry. I was thinking, how in the world did they have a cherrybomb thats the right size for the Accord in stock at their store? So no wonder its the wrong size. The guy there did not seem to know much, but I assumed he was right.
Glad I did not cut anything yet..

This link right here is a page of all the sizes they make the cherrybomb in: http://cherrybomb.com/products/glasspack

Which size do you think would be the best choice?

Again, thanks for all the help, really appreciate it!
