My front end makes squeaking noises. I had it looked at and the mechanic said I needed bushings for my new rack and pinion. (Why didn't he tell me that when he put it in 2 months ago??) Then he came back and said my ball joint was just dried out. So he greased it and sent me on my way. 2 hours later it was squeaking again. Its like a creaking sound when the car goes over a bump, and even if you just barely move the car. Help PLEASE!!!

 

Sounds like a problem I had, It was the upper ball joint. It will eventually fail (after 2 years of noise) and the wheel will fall off (first hand experience).

 

so shouldn't Honda recall it if so many cars are having the same problem?? it also rattles...like a metal on metal sound. would that be from the ball joint too?

 

motor mounts make the same kinda noise?!?!?

 

update: After having rack & pinion replaced (yep, I'm a really broke single mom now), had ball joints looked at on 2 ocassions and were told they were fine, had lower lateral ball-joints replaced, 4 months later: driving down the interstate my front end fell apart and my wheel off. at 75 miles an hour. The car is completely gone.
