zc-turbo questions

Default zc-turbo questions

just to be sure, will a 92-95 civic turbo kit fit my 88 crx with a dohc zc engine, and will the kit include everything i need or is it NECESSARY to run a different computer system like zydyne or hondata? i only wanna run like 5 or 6 psi

yes a 92-95 turbo kit will work.. same mainifolds..... also as for 5-6 psi. u can run stock ecu for time being.. but i would just a get a zdye in the future.. im running a 92 dx block in my crx with 5 psi intercooled and on a spoon chip.. it runs fine so far

Y49CRXSIZC hit me up on honda tech IM, Im from Reading Pa not to far from you and have the exact same setup you are looking at. The new Greddy kit comes with a blue box, you wont be able to use this, you will need a vortec FPR 12:1

5lbs will be fine on that motor. be sure to run a compression test first to make sure the motors numbers look good

I'm also using the greddy kit on my ZC. Its fun. I'm currently running 8lbs on the stock ECU with just a 12:1 FMU and a Walbro 255 pump. The combo works great for the money, but the fuel pressure is rediculously high (my spelling sucks).

Since you have to buy an FMU with the greddy kit these days, I would seriously look in to either a ZDYNE, or more reasonably priced if you're on a budget, I would read up on the AFC hack. I wish I had gone the AFC route now.
