Got any interior & engine compartment pics for it? I have to admit I'm somewhat tempted to try & roundup the cash. It's a bit of a drive from here, though, so I'd definitely want a better idea of it overall before coming after it.

 

he was supposed to get some more pictures for me, i'll tell him tomorrow at work to get his *** in gear and get those for me. I'm almost willing to bet you might even be able to talk him down a couple hundred (I didnt tell you that). He just wants this thing gone. He's had it WAY longer than he intended, so now he just needs it sold ASAP. Anyways i'll TRY and have them posted by tomorrow.

 

That would definitely help to offset the expense of coming after it and replacing the windshield. It sounds as though it shouldn't be a problem to take a bus over & drive it back; shouldn't give me any problems given the maintenance that's listed as recently completed.

Get after him about the pictures & I'll check into the cost of a bus ticket and rounding up some cash... PM me a zip code so that I can get a mileage estimate for figuring the gas needed for the trip home if this all works out. I need to figure out exactly how much it'll cost me to get there, buy it & get it home without begging for change on a street corner somewhere.

 

I got him to take pictures of the engine bay and interior. He has to give me his SD camera card tomorrow so i can upload the pictures. I forgot he's in the middle of buying a new house so all of his stuff is packed up, no emailing them to me. But tomorrow i will have them up

There seems to be a lot of rust under the hood; how bad is the underside of the car? I see in the picture of the rear end that the car is wearing a Montana tag- that sort of concerns me. I had a car from Montana once before & it was seriously rotted out (one of the perils of all that snow & ice). Is the rust as prevalent as it seems in the picture, or is it just the way the camera/lighting captured it?

 

Just to close out this thread, the car now resides in Alabama and is anxiously awaiting some cleanup & maintenance before becoming a DD in relatively stock form.

Turns out it wasn't quite as rough under the hood as it looked- needs a bit of cleanup & TLC, but the car fired right up despite the 30* temps and I drove it back home (a 9+ hour drive) with only a couple of issues along the way. The main electrical relay croaked on me around halfway into the trip (possibly due to moisture from the windshield leak), but after spending three hours trying to get my hands on another one (handy hint- if the exit doesn't have at least one parts house readily visible , DON'T STOP THERE! ) I was back on the road immediately after swapping it out.

Total trip time (including the bus trip there to pick it up) - 32+ hours! I think it'll be worth it in the end, though.
