Default ls/vtec b16a2 head

ok so here is my problem, i have an ls/vtec with b18a1 bottom and b16a2 head, I rebuilt it like 8000 miles ago, used a non metal head gasket, and soon as i notice it leaked i replaced it with a metal one, also while having the head off i replaced the springs and retainers with itr ones. engine ran fine before that. now I put the head back on, got new arp head bolts and torq to 80 pounds for final torq, i have s300 so i can adjust just about anything, so when it runs it acts like there is no power , when i rev it, it boggs till about 3000 then its fine, when i release the gas it drops below 1000 to about 300 then comes back to 950, no smoke or bad idle, timming is perfect, injectors are good, replace all gaskets on the head including the valve stem seals. no check engine lights or anything. try to drive it and it just bogs then back fires and dies.

when I took the head off there was a little bit of oil on piston 1 after doing the head gasket there is no oil there. just scratching my head on this one. Please help..also i have gsr cams. thanks for reading.
