Cam Questions
Recently bout a GSR bored to 82.5 w CTR pistons, skunk2 stage 2 cams/valve train, 550 rc injectors tuned with s100. Got a deal on some toda c cams, 370 rcs and a p2r fuel rail. Swapped all 3 in, the injectors bc 550s were too big and running rich. Car idles normal like it did but car lost alot of power when i get on it even tho vtec still screams. Are there certain requirements to run the stage 3s? Or do i just need a retune? This is my first time messing with cams so any help is welcome. Im keeping the stage 2s for now incase i have to swap them back in.
If you're running rich it's simply because you're not tuned right, you should be able to handle 550's.
Generally, optimum naturally aspirated A/F ratio is 13:1, any richer and you're sure to lose power.
Keep the stage 2 cams, unless the stage 3 is still a Vtec cam, then you can just raise your Vtec and retune accordingly.
[edit] Smooth driving below ~3,000 RPM will suffer noticeably with stage 3 cams, so keep that in mind if this is also a daily driver.

And another thing, you "shouldnt get on it" until its fully tuned. Unless you wanna rebuild that head very soon.
