Just picked up a 95 Accord V6 and the tachometer is not working and it's showing a CEL ... I was told that there is a sensor from the non working tach that is throwing the code? Haven't had time to see what code its throwing exactly ... sound about correct?

If anyone can shed any light on that, it would be super. Thanks!

Some times a failing ign. coil can cause the tach to act funny. You need to let us know what the code is though.

Probably ignition coil like fiveten stated; which is probably why he asked about the code.

so update for the HT world haha ..

the tach DID start jumping after a while and the car finally decided not to turn one recently.

Replaced the coil and its perfect.
