03 Civic: Hawk HPS, Hawk Performance, EBC green pads vs OEM
This is strictly daily driver but would like the extra stopping power for those abrupt needed stops to avoid a collision. I'm checking out Tirerack and decided on Brembo blanks @ 40/ea. I'd like to pair it with a good set of pads. Some suggested EBC green, Hawk HPS or OEM. I noticed the material on the HPS are different than OEM (ceramic). Hawk also makes the "performance street" pads in ceramic.
Priority: stopping power, life, then noise.

From your few you have, though I havent tried EBC's yet, I would say for:
Stopping power goes:Best to least
1.HPS
2.EBC
3.OEM
Life: Long to short
1.OEM
2/3. I think the EBC's and Hawks last about the same give or take a few 1k here or there depending on how you drive.
Noise: Quietest to noisy
1. OEM
2/3. I see alot of varying opinions on both pads. Some say one has noise and the other doesnt. It all depends on how you bed-in your pads and if that pad isnt a tad different then normal to make it start being noisy.
Just my opinion, I'm no expert and just trying to help out. Hopefully some others could chime in and help it.
