i got 1 solid 30 mins session in a 996 cup car today. my first time ever on slicks... apparently i didn't warm it up enough and i prompted looped it on 2nd lap right when i started to pick up the speed (at the off camber T3 @ thunderhill). kept it on track though so, no slave work to pay for the damage for me. phew!! some more detail report later. but in a nut shell, it is harder to driver than the 996 gt2, i would've thought this would be easier but it's not.

one thing about being in a cup car that's nice is everybody waves you by with out hesitatation. it's nice. it's just a thunderhill test day but the field was sizable because of the big team continental 3 day weekend coming up.

bonus: saw doug peterson testing his FWD mini. went up to him to say hi and took a few pix. charles (cup car owner) had a friend named dean hall that came to the track. dean drove indy cars for a few years. also drove 333sp for ferrari, did formula atlantic, formula ford... etc. very nice guy.
