so i took it to the shop and he said its a leaking headgasket. and said i had a bad rocker arm?

took off my VC and my rocker arms seem fine. im pretty positive i need a valve adjustment its making this noise

thinking the noise could be dealing with the oil? since their was a headgasket leak water got inside (if you guys are in ca it was the day it was raining... A LOT)

 

Sounds like it needs a valve adjustment. To be sure your do a leakdown test to confirm leaking headgasket or rule it out.

 

My car makes that sound but not nearly as often. Haven't fixed it yet but I am pretty sure my problem is as ek-g6 says, valve adjustment.

running some tests tomorrow so hopefully youre right and i just need a valve adjustment and to replace my HG.. would really like to keep this to a minimum money spent

oh how i hope its that.. im praying its not a rod knock smashing my cylinder wall... if it is my two options: someone hook it up with a b18a1 or b18b1 for under 500 (if i manage to get 500) maybe even trade my SSR's for a motor, option two: sell wheels, part out my teg (would like to keep her) and than just ride my bike places >.> (not motorcycle) until i get enough money for something new.

 

well i have a b18b1 head that i can sell to u that i took taken off my teg to put a build head.. and once someone said something ever one else go with it... but its not a valve adjusted u need cuz from what i heard its not a ticking noise that what u would hear if u need one.. or like a fast tap tap npise. and i know hear that noise from that video.. so that not it but good luck and if u need a head PM me

 

ill let you know but as of now i have a b18a1 and my friends got a b18a1 head if its something in the head. im just worried its a rod knock cause than im F***ed was hoping my teggie would make it to 300K+ =[

same here man it only makes that noise when i shift to 2nd and 3rd but once i hit 4th no sound

 

mine does it when its idle rod knock? ****ed up the cylinder walls? found some nice tegs on CL
