GSR high speed shake and noise (HELP!)
Ok, so i have searched as well as asked this question on another forum but never got a definitive answer.
I have a 96 GSR and a couple months after i purchased it, I started hearing noise during acceleration on the drivers side. As the next couple weeks passed it got a little louder. I'm also having some shaking of the car at speeds around 65mph and up.
My guess would be the drivers side axle could be my problem, at least with the noise issue. As far as the shaking, could it be that i need an alignment?
Thanks, any input would be awesome.

axles are your problem... as you've stated, you know that they do make noise but also when the inner CV joint goes (tranny side of axle) it can cause vibration in the car
If I were you I would stay away from autozone axles and would look into raxles.. they have a lifetime warranty and are built very well

Changed both axles a couple weeks ago and the noise is still there. Could it be my intermediate shaft like the part on the drivers side of the tranny that actually goes into the tranny?

You never specified what kind of noise. High pitch sreeching, low grinding, fast ticking, slow ticking, etc...describe you sound.
It's a low dooh dooh dooh noise coming from the bay in front of the steering wheel. It makes noise under acceleration, during cruising, and in neutral slowing down but if I'm turning right then the noise is almost non existant.
