95 D16z6 long block and transmission
Hello, I have a 95 d16z6 complete long block and transmission for sale. The block and head has 15k miles on it. The block was built and tuned by me. My civic was stolen the night before Thanksgiving of last year. The car was recovered and Motor was still in the car. They took all of my turbo parts. The motor was checked out by my freind who is a Honda master tech, he said motor is perfectly fine. I then pulled the motor out of the car and stored it..thinking I will build me another civic, but times are tuff and I could use the money more. I spent a lot to build this motor and took my time (almost a year). I really want to keep it, but my financial situation is forcing me to sell it. My loss is your gain if you decide to buy this motor.
Here are some specs that was done.....
Block = Installed Golden Eagle block guard 1/4 inch below deck ( to avoid over heating), Cynlinders bored .5mm over, block surface decked for truness, hot tanked, crank was micorpolish and balanced, installed CP pistons 75.5mm 9:1 comp and Eagle Rods with upgraded ARP rod bolts( block was notched to fit the rods), then installed ARP head studs. Installed new oem oil pump, front and rear main seals, oem water pump and Acl race bearings for all of the rotating mass assemblies, copper gasket sealant was used anywhere sealant was needed.
Head = 3 angle valve job, resurfaced, hot tanked, then installed Supertech flat valves to up the compression a bit closer to stock due to low compression pistons. Stock springs, stock retainers, stock cam. Stock Intake manifold was matted to head using Hondata intake gasket to reduce intake heat soak.
This motor does not smoke like most motors that has been rebuilt. I have taken the time to build this motor right! The motor has seen boost up to 15 psi and has never over heat or had a head lift (common with SOHC motors). I had this motor NA for the first 3k miles and the rest was on boost which was set to 8 psi normally for daily driving and 15psi when I needed the extra heat. This motor was taken out at around 15k miles and was running strong before I removed it from the car. Oil changes at every 2,500 miles and new NGK's plugs at every two oil changes. I only use Mobile 1 oil and filters!
Transmission was cleaned and checked at the time I finished building my motor and was still in super good conditions, no grinds, no pops out.
here is what the engine doesn't have...injectors, spark plug wires, dip stick,, ECU, original valve cover with custom breather ports for catch can ( I will install a stock one).
Tranny does not have a speed sensor..they took that too.
I have the engine harness, Act Flywheel, ACT super street disc, ACT extreme pressure plate left and right axels, distributor, 150 amp alternator and shift linkage if you need it, and the oil pan with a -10 an fitting for turbo oil return.. all included. I am asking 1500 obo...please shoot me a reasonable offer. This motor will be placed for sale on craigslist, so act fast if you want it.
I will not ship or drop the engine off..pickup only! I'm located in East San Jose
