LoL...most likely seems like he sold you the car including the prices of the turbo parts. If your car is stock right now and running/idling good with a good compression, then I'm assuming the car was never turbo or had been but got set back to stock. The parts you have now plays a role in turbocharging your car but it is no where near to get it running like one. Plus, you don't even know if the turbo is working/spooling correctly. There is a lot of stuff in terms of turbocharging your car. You have to run bigger injectors (ex:450cc), retard your time, drill oil lines, wiring of boost gauges and air-to-fuel ratio meters, re-gap your spark plugs for correcting sparking, new spark plugs and distributor if needed, and dyno and tune ect. ect.
well the turbo is brand new still wrapped in plastic... how much internal work is needed to run about 8psi...im not tryin to go to big with it yet cuz i need a dd...ive read of some that have no internal motor work and just the bigger injectors, fuel pump, and a good ecu that are puttin down some good numbers and im just wonderin if thats a good path to go or should i just wait and do the whole motor at once
It all depends on the size of the turbo.Small turbo up to 16psi can still run on stock internals. It's not about how much psi you are boosting but it's about how big the turbo is. Stock internal can handle 8spi so no worries.
