head removal on 95 passport

Default head removal on 95 passport

ive got all the head bolts removed including the 2 small hex key bolts on the back side of the head(pass side head) and the header is un hooked. what else am i missing because the head will not come off. it wil semi move up and down but not all the way. also the engine is not the original. its the isuzu version v6

first and foremost, Honda NEVER made the passport, Isuzu made it and Honda put their name on it. the H emblem on the grill and tailgate were about as Honda as the Passport got. just wanted you to know that so we could move forward with this little adventure into insanity.

there are a couple brackets for various things mounted on the back of those heads and that may be what you are missing. also, did you remove the entire timing assembly? there is a little more to it than just removing the belt. and make sure you have ALL of the intake mani bolts out also.

hope this helps and good luck with it. if it were me, though, I would just set fire to it and call it a day. I HATE seeing those things come in to the dealership. I really wish Honda had never done that.
