Guess the issue game!
there is a thumping sound that is in correlation with the revoutions the wheels spinning. It only makes the sounds when i turn right or left. I checked all the boots of the axles they are all fine. Ive had the bearings come out before on other axles but this is a different sound.
On another note: it only makes the sound when its underload..IE in gear while accelerating and turning.
I checked the tires and rims not bends or bumps. both axles have great boots no leaking (axles are fairly new) On thing i can think off is my rack and pinnion..the tie rod ends boots are completly gone and i have looped the lines so i have no PS. What could it be?

So... in some form of summary, the possible problems could be (as posted by all others)
1) The CV Joints (Replacement)
2) Bad axles / Axles too long (Replace / Grind-down)
3) Some clunking is normal in Clutch-style LSD's (Get used to it)
4) Midshaft issue (Replacement)
5) LSD Transmission additive needed (Drain and Fill) (which didn't work for me)
6) Bad Differential (Replacement) (Which I am starting to lean toward in my "clunking" application)
7) ?
(all of this assuming the clunking is not affiliated with the motor mounts or suspension)
As a newbie (who just finished a Del Sol GSR swap), How difficult/time consuming is it to swap the limited slip differential in the transmission?
EDIT: I may not have given the additive a chance, this is the second day and the noise is nearly gone. I still feel it occasionally but I will give it more time before coming to conclusions. I still don't believe that the additive is required, but it may help more used LSD's, maybe.

The OP had LSD but most of it still applies, I think

pop your hood, set ebrake. put a load on it, on off on off, and see how much your motor moves and if you have the sound. w/o turning. possible that the motor moves and causes the axles to make a noise like you discribe.
