IAC cleaning on 98 v6

Anyone have a how to or a link explaining how to clean the IAC?? Thank you very much. BTW, im cleaning it due to eratic idling, when I cover the opening in the throttle body, the car idles correctly, so I figured it must be the IAC

replace it, those cannot be effectively cleaned.
