Damn Noise won't go away
I've been trying to figure out what this noise is for over a month now........I even took my car into the dealership and they said they didn't know what it was...
at low rpms in any gear with my foot off the throttle (RPMS dropping)..........i hear this almost low toned rubbing noise or low noise coming from the front right of my car..
if i immediately shift into neutral the noise stops.....I had my tranny inspected and flushed to try and get rid of the problem but it must be somethign else...
I have an AEM intake
Please for the love of sweet baby jesus.......does anyone know what this could be?

I do not own an itr but i have worked for acura service for 3.5 yesr and counting
at the local dealership as a service writer...
If I had your car I would express to them that they need to exhaust all possibe
resources to help you...For crying out loud at least they/you can duplicate it.
I wish all my funny noise cars were that easy to duplicate...anyway
If you give them the vehicle for a while i.e. (couple of days)...I don't see why they
can not help you...they do have resources like tech-line in cali and also the
interactive web site for the dealers...Worst case they take the tranny out and inspect it...If something has made that noise all the tim and you can duplicate it
that easily...then a slow careful tear down may reveal a worn or wearing part.
i would try it while in the air on a lift...see if taking the weight off the vehicle and
chassis helps any...
Good luck...please keep me posted OK.

its loud enough to be annoying.........it wasn't always like this........i was on the highway for about an hour going about on average 150 km/h........parked the car in my parking garage and the next morning i took it out and heard the noise........its been there ever since

Have you checked to see if its rubbing the a/c lines? When i had my AEM it made a bunch of odd noises from whistling to rubbing. It also comes very close to the a/c lines and my tube had some wear on it.
YES..........it was my intake after all.........it kind of misaligned itself over time......and the padding had worn down so there was rubbing.......just put two new pads on and bingo....all gone
