hey guys my car hard starts in the morning and if it has been sitting long and my air/fuel gauge says its running lean but i always get out of it smelling like gas what can these problems be? I baught a fuel filter new havent instaled it yet i wanna know what the prob is deff before i do anything . the motor i have is the 1.6 single cam SI . plz help i dont wanna smel like gas anymore and i want my car to just start. by the way it starts after like 11 or 12 starts then it still is a lil rought . plz help guys thnx

 

could be low compression on a cylinder or two, clogged fuel filter, dirty injectors, if your running stock intake it could be a dirty *** filter, your fuel pump could be goin out, your spark plug gap could be to big, or your main relay is sticking, check all those things and tell me what happens
