im looking at an ex cluster that came from a auto civic and i want to put it in my dx hatch since my car has no tach in it. is this possible? can i just do a plug and play?

 

Yes, im not sure if the auto cluster works in a manual but they are all plug and play

 

well thats what im trying to find out. obviously you dont know what plug and play means since you are contradicting yourself

 

yeah i realized i contradicted myself but didnt bother to fix it seeing as its 4 am and anyone with half a brain could have got the point.

your question wasn't clear in the first place anyways, you didnt specify weather you had a manual or automatic. not all dx's are standard trans.

i have a pretty good feeling that it will work in a manual though.

 

mine is a manual. and its 1 pm in Germany you are no longer credible to me anymore

The clusters will interchange between the two. Just the idiot lights and some marking will not work due to the transmission change. The major gauge you are looking for will work.

 

They are all the same. DX's are prewired for a tach.

Even if you put an auto cluster in, it will work. You will just have the Gear position on the cluster for no reason.
