97 acura 2.2cl (never modded)
This car has been my daily for a while, lot nicer to commute in than a civic but I need the money so here we go.
1997 Acura 2.2Cl 190k
Automatic trans
Silver(primrose) exterior.
grey cloth interior
16" factory wheels
Power Steering
Power windows
Power locks
Power mirrors
Power sunroof w/tilt and slide
intermittent wipers
electronic digital climate control
AC (will need a charge)
cruise control
cd player
map lights(I hate my civic for not having these lol)
The Good
All the power stuff works flawless, except the solenoid on the passenger door lock, easy fix just haven't gotten to it yet. The power windows work perfect(did the driver regulator when I got the car(oem acura part was used). Greased everything on both sides with rubber safe pure silicon spray.
Inspection good till july 2010 and will go right through again when the time comes.
New parts installed within the last year:
Brakes(all four rotors and pads, one new rear caliper)
exhaust(brand new cat back exhaust) stock and quiet
Both axles(steering is nice and tight)
secondary o2 sensor
Above was done by a mechanic since I was super busy with work at the time,
have receipt.
Below done by me
New timing belt
new balancer belt
new accessory belt(ac/ps)
new water pump
new tstat
new balance shaft seal retainer(it hadn't been done yet surprisingly)
new cam seal
new lower cover gasket
new tensioners
fresh honda type 2 coolant
new valve cover gasket
cleaned egr ports thoroughly
All of these parts were OEM honda, with reciepts from majestic and some local dealers. All installed by me using the factory helms which will come with the car. This was all done this past summer.
New parts that I haven't installed yet
oem plug wires
oem plugs(i think I may have installed these I forget have to check)
new oem cap/rotor
new oem radius rod bushings and washers and sway bar bushings.
The car makes that notorious groan over speed bumps especially in cold weather due to the radius rod bushings(very common on accords)
Probably a few more things have to check.
Oil changes are done regularly and usually early.
Car is dead reliable, never left me stranded and its been all over nj.
The bad:
The steering wheel leather is ripped on the top(annoying). A new steering wheel body is about 75 from online acura dealers just never got around to it.
The car has some dents and dings around but still looks nice, hasnt been washed in a while in the pics. The interior as you'll see is reasonably clean but not perfect(shows its age) I fully detailed the inside when I first bought it and it will be immaculate when it gets sold.
When I got the car it had a cel. I ran through all of them one by one and fixed everything. The car has no cels(check engine light).
Now it does have a sporadic cel for the trans, checked in the manual and its for a solenoid on the trans. This is in the interest of being totally honest, if you reset it it wont come back on for anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. The car shifts fine, I just haven't had time to do the solenoid. Your welcome to bring a code tester or I'll flash the light for you to show that it is the only reason the light is on. If you reset it like I said it stays off for a while. Just being upfront.
Any qusestions on the car just ask.
Asking 2800 partial trades for a car that maybe needs work(bad engine/trans may be considered) or a cheap motorcycle. Would prefer to sell outright though, do not offer me a trade with absolutely no info, don't even waste my time.
PICS
