Preludes and theft
Hey guys i have a chance to pick up a 98 SH as a daily driver. I was wondering how bad the theft rate is with Ludes. I had my GSR taken and now its time for a another DD. Any inputs will be awesome
Not too many Preludes, so the theft rate would not be as high, but then again you never know. Depends on what area. Around here, they go for the wheels/tires, accessories, not so much as the whole car.
'98 SH is a Great daily driver, I recommend it. Install alarm, and park in safe areas, and you should be good.

People don't really steal 5th gens.......I assume its fairly difficult b/c of the immobilizer.
Depending on your future mod plans, I would avoid the SH. I haven't met too many people that were thrilled with the ATTS and their Mod plans.

depends were you live bro. i live in SD and every 10 cars theres 1 prelude. so i can say im a ****ing rare species out here. but yeah more prelude end up in the junk yard then the theft list here man, so it all depends.
My prelude theft rate is 50 percent. Out of 2 I have had one jacked.
Honesty the only thing that you can do about someone not stealing your car, is just get full coverage insurance. You can do all those little kill switches and what not, but when they come with the tow truck, all you can do is have full coverage.

Well my next job will be back in chicago so thats where I would be. Well, closer to the wisconsin border. I would say about 20 minutes from the border. I know Chicago is another city pretty infamous with Hondas.....especially R, Gsr, Si.
