and between street and race version?/aluminum vs steel...... not using powersteering/ac too

ATI for the win -- never heard a bad thing about running the ATI damper
had it on my race car for 4+ years now and have sold a bunch of them to other racers that are running them with great success

if you are asking if you need one, technically from a rules standpoint, yes. iirc at 11.49 you need an sfi damper.
and i cant say which one is better. i have had the fluidyne street damper on my now 9 sec car ( he hee had to say that) and it has been there since 06 on my old b16. never had any issues.
and i have plenty of friends that use the ati.

I had a question, I read an article way back when, and AEBS ran stock ITR dampers cause they said they worked better than aftermarket up to 10000rpm. I think that was back in 2001 though. Does there statement have any weight anymore?
good old American marketing. why should anyone believe what ati has to say about Fluidamper? they have both been in the market place for over 5 years and I dont think ive seen a single case where either caused a crank to break.
id say this one comes down to which one you can get the better deal on.
that was back before there were sfi models made for the b-series. and they were comparing it to the single aluminum pulleys of the day.
