Torn motor mount/wheel hop, options?
My front left lower motor mount has disintegrated, what are my options here?
I was looking at getting new OEM mounts with the ES or Prothane inserts. Is there a better combo out there? Such as stiffer-than-OEM mounts?
I don't care about vibration or what not. All I care about is wheel hop. It's bad in 1st gear on any slick surface.
I was thinking maybe it's time to get rid of the stock shocks also.

Well you can definetly jump up to a set of innovative steel mounts for around $200. However if your gunna keep this car pretty much Stock, Id recommend an OEM replacemnt just because you will definetly get a stiffer/harsher ride and decent amount of vibration. However I seen you said you dont mind that so you may wanna go that route.
I currently drive a pretty stock DA with innovative mounts Great product, but I do not like such a stiff ride and vibration in a pretty stock car... My pretty modded DA I dont mind at all. just my 0.02

Well, the car is not stock (turbo) and I can't find the lower left mount on Innovative's or Hasport's site. I've already broken an axle from the wheel hop. Any other brands that might make an upgraded lower left mount? If not, I'll probably go with the inserts in an OEM mount.
Lower Left mount??? is this the left side if your sitting in the car or looking at the car from the front.... I only ask because you have the rear mount, the mount on the timing belt side, and a mount on top of the transmission and to my knowlage also a mount on the lower part of the transmission.....If its this mount (lower transmission that your refering to) im almost positive you wont find and aftermarket replacement but you will for all the others.

This was a great upgrade. I don't mind the minor vibrations, I like to feel the engine.
I'm sure the torn motor mounts were causing a lot of the wheel hop. Now, with the two new lower OEM mounts and the ES inserts, the wheel hop and jerking is basically gone.
