Hey guys, first post. I have a 98 accord LX with power door locks and would like to add keyless entry. After reading several post I am confused?? Does this car have the keyless receiver or do I need to get one? I have also read about some models have the receiver in the factory radio. Thanks for your help...

 

any car with PWR doorlocks can have keyless entry. my GF has a 98 lx with keyless entry from the factory. my 92 accord has keyless entry using an aftermarket alarm system.

 

does it have the red security light at the drivers door lock 'stick' ?

 

I will have to check, The only light that I have noticed is a green light on the dash with a key shape in it.

 

Thanks for the info. I tried to program my 97 accord remote to the 98 and it would not work. The locks would not cycle. I turned the ignition to on and pressed the lock button for about a second or two. Then I turned to ignition to acc I three times, then cut the key off and pressed the lock button again. Nothing happened...
