Please help me guys...

Can the 88-89 civic si hatchback cluster will work for my '91 civic dx hatch (5 speed manual ) with no mods? I mean just plug and play? or do I need to re-wire it the whole thing?

Or do I have to get 90-91 CRX, Civic SI hatch cluster instead?

Im just looking for simple cluster that has tachometer in it, just plug and play that work for my' 91 civic dx hatch ( 5speed manual).

it's not simply plug and play. the cluster plugs are the same between the 88-89 and 90-91 clusters, but the wires are in different spots on the plug. if you plug an 89 cluster into your 91 hatch it's going to be doing all kinds of crazy stuff when you turn the car on.
