Ok my auto tranny went out in my es1 2 days ago only had 88xxxx on it, now im thinkin about swapping to 5 speed, would it b cheaper? and wht do i need in oreder to swap it to 5speed? heard i mite need different Ecu n stuff?? Please sombody help asap!!thanks

 

When my auto went out a shop charged me 2300 in parts/labor... I did the auto to manual and it ran me about 1k. U can do this swap with a auto ecu. It's been done numerous times. You just need to keep the little box off the auto trans and make sure it's in park so the car will start. If you end up doing this and have any ?'s feel free to hit me up. I would just get the 5 speed ecu..will be a lot easier...
