Dropping 98 Civic EX
I have a 98 civic ex coupe, the suspension is completely oem, I want to drop it slightly using lowering springs. I currently have 14" steelies on it but plan on going to either Rota Slips, or Konig heliums, still undecided as far as tires go. Size will be 16" at largest, what do you reccomend as far a ls lowering, wheels, and tires? This is just a DD not racing in this one at all.
Yes, they should work w/ OEM struts, although since the struts were not engineered/made for those type of springs,it may shorten the lifespan of the strut. Then again, I have heard ppl who used stock struts and were totally fine for tens of thousands of miles. Just my .02
Lol, that's fine. I can run them like that I'd I can then when they die I'll get me a set of aftermarket ones, dong this will definitly be better than what a moronix friend of mine told me to do, cut my springs..I was like eh,no. Lol

that just means they will last a little longer,
as it was already stock shocks cant handle drops, or increased spring rates, new or used doesnt matter.
i would go with a 195-55-15 0r 16, forget the slips, everyone has them already.

why not 195-50-15?? that is wat im rocking. just wondering is it because of oem spec???
i would get the tein spring for a good drop without slaming that thing. i hear something bad about them but forgot...
noithing wrong with 50's its just a personal perefence.
theres noithing wrong with skunk2, my only problem is the spring rates for slips on are WAY to high.
the only thing i have heard bad about tein springs, is they a just too soft, but they are great springs for a mild drop.
