Default 92 Accord and fuel quality

Hi all,

I was wondering the other day about whether I would see any difference in engine handling, either running smoother, better mpg, etc. I'm currently running regular, which has an octane rating 87. I have heard that Japanese cars were designed for 90 or higher. Is this true? Thanks for any ideas

No. Vehicle's built for the US market are designed for 87 octane; as per EPA dictates.
All commercial grade gasoline varies very little.
As long as it's a national brand that you've been using, you should NOT see any difference in performance.
