Default hyxrolocked lsvtec, reccomendations?

hydrolocked the lsv in my ef last night. didn't realize the puddle I was trying to drive around was a lake until it was too late. was doing maybe 5 mph at idle rpm when it happened. opened the tb and there is a little moisture inside. took off the oil cap and oil doesn't look milky. engine wont turn over.

if its hydrolocked then it's toast. the cylinder head might still be good but hard to say.

Open it up and dry it out... take out spark plugs, etc, try to turn by hand? SEARCH for hydrolocked and how to check.

hmm. well it did die while idling so there's a slim chance that maybe you didn't do massive damage. pull out the spark plugs and crank her over. watch the water come shooting out lol. if you still see remaining water in there that isn't coming out then i'd probably let it sit for awhile and dry with the plugs still out. once its dry put the plugs back in, crank her over, and hope for the best.

Well motor is completely siezed. Pulled plugs, won't crank. Sprayed WD40 down cylinder walls and tried push-cranking it, wouldn't crank. Two outer pistons are in really weird positions too. One is pretty high and the other is pretty low. Looks like I threw/snapped rods. Dipstick comes out at the right level and water free, though. Gonna tear off the oil pan tomorrow and asses the damage. Hoping MAYBE just a snapped rod(s).

Well, there's a rod sticking through the back of the block, thats why it was seized

Time to start rebuilding. Need a new block, rods, crank. Hoping my RSMACHINE pistons are still good along with the head.

Figured I'd update with some pics:

New block is at the machine shop currently. Pistons were good. Going to take the head to another shop tuesday to see if I have any bent valves. If everything goes well she will be running again by Saturday
