Hey, I just got a new Honda Civic 96 HX coupe and I need to finish up registering my car. I just passed smog, but now I have to do a brake & light inspection test.

I looked around the forum and couldn't find a topic regarding this, so I decided to make a thread.
Well, I was just wondering what exactly do they do for a brake & light inspection? And how much is a reasonable price nowadays that the service should go for?

 

In CA, we don't have a Brake & Light inspection. What state are you in ?

I just did the brake & light inspection today, it was the last step I needed to get my car registered.
It came up to $86.50

 

dammmmm!! 85 shiet yeh buddy told me around there.. shietty i gotta do one too just passed smog today... and last step is brake light inspect too... anything I should know before i take it in?? thanks

 

Don't you only need a brake and light inspection if the car is salvaged?

 

You can be directed there by the highway patrol, but yeah it is a requirement for salvage titled vehicles.
