For those who live between anywhere Dekalb and Chicago (includes Aurora, Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles, West Chicago...etc., H22EJ1 and myself are organizing a pre-meet before the Starved Rock meet.

I imagine that most of the Chicago guys will be taking various interstates down to Interstate 80 and then to Starved Rock and the Dekalb guys will be taking Rt. 23 all the way down. For those that aren't in those groups, we are having a pre-meet at the North Aurora Automall on Orchard Rd, just off of Interstate 88.

I am planning to get there at 11:00AM and leave by 11:30 if possible. It will be about an hour drive down to Ottawa and then through the curves leading to Starved Rock.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to PM/Email Ziggy7 or myself. We are locals to Starved Rock and can answer just about any questions you have.

Seriously though, I wasn't planning on taking Rt. 23 down, only because we'd have to mess with getting everyone off the interstate and through town, but I guess it wouldn't be much worse than slogging down Orchard Rd. I guess we'll ask everyone who shows in Aurora that morning.

There are plenty of places to camp out around the area or get a hotel but I personally wouldn't do it. Judging from the weather we've had lately and the amount of rain it wouldn't be too much fun.

I'm really looking forward to being back home even if it is just for the day. I think regardless of the weather though, I am going to tell Marc he needs to stop planning this for November. Do it in the middle of October or so...
