From: long bottom, oh, united states
ok i'm putting a b20b in my hatch 90
and the half shaft won't bolt up to the block
it's a 5 speed shaft
is it possiable that the block is from a awd crv
and if so would that make the pattern different
it's like the block bolt holes are at the wrong angle the bottom one make it impossiable to
bolt the upper two

I had the same exact problem with my b16 swap, The bottom bolt will go in but the top two are like a half inch away from the block on an angle? I bought the halfshaft used and was told it was from a manual but it turns out it was an auto one
LMFAO... That has got to be the funniest crap I have ever heard. Automatic block??? BWAAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!
Have you ever noticed from the factory when a manual transmission is on the motor (B-Series) there is a threaded bolt hole that goes unused? That is there for an automatic transmission to utilize... Also how retarded would it be to have a production run to have to make 2 different engines just for whatever type of transmission being used. Given having to manufacture both automatic and manual trans for the same car is not very effective cost wise anyways; but it is smart for marketing purposes. Ever noticed how fewer and fewer cars now-a-days can actually be had with manual transmissions?

^^^ Please re-read my post sir. I was talking about the transmission... not the intermediate shaft. If you don't know what I am talking about I would be more than happy to go and take a picture and post it up here. Either way the blocks are not different they are made for both automatic and manual transmission setups. Everything that bolts to the engines is what changes.
