get an in-line by pass valve by AEM............ or cut into the piping in the mid section of it and put a cuppler in and take the lower section off when its said to rain for days.... just because its covered doesnt mean its not going to suck up vapors and mist..... i would invest in an oiled filter for water repel reason. sorry for the spelling but theres your answer.

You can use the port for a filter. The port that runs a line to the valve cover. Put those micro filters on either end and remove that hose. This will work as a bypass as long as you don't rev the crap out of it in the rain.

yes it is possible, just go around puddles, and dont think "it doesnt look to bad i can make it through" thoese are the times you will suck water, i have seen countless threads just like it.

Drive responsibly, keep the revs down, use common sense, avoid water accumulations as best as possible, and you'll be fine.

i was scared shitless this morning, i dont have a front splash guard so i can see the ground right under my short ram. And its about a 20 mile track to school lmao. I got to school and felt around the filter and it and the engine was pretty damn dry lol.

I don't even know what you're waiting for.

If you already have the short ram, put it in!

No. If the filter is submerged, it will suck up water regardless. An engine works just like a shop vac in that respect, and the filter does not protect from water.

Even a short ram doesn't protect from stupidity. I'm not proud to admit, I almost hydrolocked my gsr with a shortram because my dumbass didn't think a puddle looked deep.

Drive around the large puddles and you're fine.

Just use common sense, if it's the puddle is large slow down, put it in N, or avoid it altogether if you can. A little water is fine.

And CAI is better for supercharger?

cus i thought i read somewhere that the short ram ones are better for forced induction?
You want the coldest air possible, the cooler it comes in, the cooler it goes out, cold air is denser than warm air, therefore it will resist knocking...
