New to CIVIC need help installing remote starter
I have BMW just bought 99 civic EX 5 sp for winter. I would like to know if there is any diy for installing remote starter. I tried to search and only found power door lock etc.
I already have remote but want to install remote started for cold weather.

Make sure that the unit is design for a 5 speed if its a five speed. If not you can get yourself into alot of trouble.
neutral safety switch to clutch wire, or you can do a magnetic reed switch to the shifter to make it a bit more safe. so it will not remote start unless it is in N

As mentioned, find and use a remote start compatible with a standard transmission, there are more then a few of them, even DEI makes them, I would recommend a Compustar. 94
