First: Hardtop or Wheels+suspension???
So, just aquired a stock 01 s2k. Cant decide what i want to do with it first. Hardtop or get wheels + suspension. cost is about the same either way.
keep in mind im east coast and winter is coming on so i wont have the top down at all.
what would u do?

i picked up an 02 on friday, i am in the same shoes. I hardtop is a great investment and holds great value. You could get away with the replica mugen and hardware for under 1800. check craigslist. and man it looks sick.
you can get a good set of coilovers and get them cornerbalanced for around that price.
i would go with suspension.

i don't recommend a replica being as you get what you pay for. I would only get OEM or real Mugen and its worth the money and holds its own resale value.

yeah, looks like hardtop first. I can live with 4x4 status for a little while. Only the honda finatics will really notice the lack of wheels+coilovers.

just buy a set of springs for $200 or so... youll be lowered and you can just sell them when u have enough to upgrade to coils...

That 4x4 look kills me..
Follow this guy's advice... so you can spend more money on a heavier hardtop
Cause, bragging rights > function. The seibon CF is lighter than the Mugen CF... and about $2000 cheaper.
but, yeah, get a set of eibach pro-kits... and the hardtop.
Get whatever hardtop you like.
OEM is nice and a bit "quieter" than the mugen and mugen replicas...but, it's cause of the liner. the OEM also has better visibility...while the mugen and it's replicas flow a bit better with the lines of the car.
