!HELP! ef with a gsr vtec makin wierd noise !HELP!
ok this is kinda hard to explain i have a 90 ef dx with a 99 gsr swap , skunk 2 intake , aem rail , pretty much stock any way i get to 5500 and 6000 rpm and it makes a loud noise
like its sucking in air and pauses then bout 6k rpm the vtec kicks in so i changed the sylenoid and its still acting the same, so i changed the oil still no difference.. any ideas ?? its also running a b16 odb0 dizzy and b16 odb1 ecu non chipped ran by jumper harness.. i did not do any of the swap on this car i bought it like that

im pretty sure running the obd-o dizzy w/your setup would cause you trouble when it comes to v-tec kicc'n, if you have access to an obd-1 dizzy (maybe barrow from a friend?) try to swap that in give it a road test, and go from there
NO, that will not work, and you need an OBD1 gsrB16 dizzy to match an OBD1 ecu.....
ANd the B16 ECU will not give a GSR the right fuel maps, most likely you are running way lean and could possibly blow it up.

also i was wondering i got odb0 wires that goto my b16 dizzy so how do i change the gsr one to 0db0 ??? just take the wires out n swap em over or whats the deal?
rywire makes all the **** you need to do the conversion, its easier and less headaches than trying to wire it yourself. and you gotta run a p72 ecu, ur studder is fuel cutting out
it does seem like the fuel is on sum bs ... so they can make me a harness to convert my dizzy wires only??? also sum 1 did a wire tuck on this car.. would it be easier just to wire up the wires to my odb0 harness with a odb1 plug??
find and call rywire, they are on here, i know they've got kits for this type of ****, i personally don't like cutting wires and hackin it myself, and you gotta get a p72 or you will still get fuel cut
i dont have a odb0 ecu i have a p30 odb1 ecu .. also i was wondering if it has to be a p72 cant it just be a chipped ecu running crome or sumthing to the equivalent ???
EDIT: Maybe the OBD1 distributor was re-pinned to have OBD0 plugs?
i know for sure its got odb0 wires tho n its got a boomslang jumper harness n a odb1 p30 ecu.. so im gonna sell this ******* p30 and this junk odb0 dizzy n buy one off ebay... thanks for ur help guyz
