Default Decent enough way to paint wheels?

Is there a decent enough way to paint rims for cheap. I have a set of rota slipstreams in black that I want to paint white...I'm starting to think it would be cheaper to just buy the white ones and sell my black ones. I can't find any used whites though. Is there a paint that will be cheap and look fairly good?

Thanks in advance

You can use spray paint. Its a lot easier with the rim off the tire, and its all about the prep work. I painted my rims and they turned out great, you just have to take your time and it only costed me about $30. You can always get the powder coated too.

paint stripper, sand, prime, sand, paint, clear. Dupli color makes some nice wheel paint.

Will they come out pretty glossy and clean? Or will it look dull. Most diy paint jobs I've seen look dull.

That entirely depends on prep, the paint used, and whether clearcoat was put on top.

Okay, cool. So what would I need to do to ensure a good, glossy paint job?

Yeah, I read that how-to. The end result just didn't seem very glossy to me. Maybe it is just the photos.

a common complaint with white repainted rims is that the color fades and they yellow. Just something to keep in mind.
