Default 94 ACCORD LX AUTO....Wierd Idle problem...

Ive had the car for about a month, and have done a tune-up since i Got it. Since I got it its always had this issue when it idles and when I turn it on. I would turn it on and warm up the car until its at normal temperature. and for about 30 minutes or so after i take off, at every stop light i make the car struggles to stay on, the rpm drops to about 300-550rpms. it rarely every shuts off but it has happened. This persists for about the first 30-40 minutes after car has been running, after its been running the car runs fine, and rpms at around 500-700 whenever i stop at a light. the mechanic that did my tune-up also increased the idle rpm to 750-900 when i told him of this problem but i guess it has made no difference.

You're due to have the throttle body and the Idle Air Control Motor (IACV)
cleaned.

Most times PCV residue builds up around the throttle plate and builds up within the IACV. When this happens, the IACV can't compensate for load changes and often can't maintain a proper idle speed.
You should find concise guides for addressing this within the FAQ section which resides at the top of this forum's first page.
