Ive got a screw in my tire ... i heard something about American (americas?) Tires patches them for free.

Anyone try this?

so you can just walk in there and ask them to patch it up? i feel wierd ... should i buy anything?

 

Lots of places can repair a puncture in a tire - tire dealers, tire departments of big stores (e.g. Wal-Mart), independent mechanics and garages, car dealers, etc. Most places will charge you $5-10 to do so. Some places will do it free, but it shouldn't be a lot of money no matter where you go.

I've had good luck with tire service at Wal-Mart, which of course is not particularly expensive.

America's Tire co has great customer service. Ive gone in several times for free patch jobs. You do not have to purchase anything.
