Icon2 need some good brakes

alright guys i need your input on this one. 01 em2. need front pads and rotors. i drive my car hard so i need to stop too. every once in a while i'll go to the track but not a whole lot. at the same time i dont care too much about dust but really hate the squealing. what should i get? i was looking at some akebono ceramic pads and some brembo slotted rotors...
any input will be most appreciated. thanks

the drilled and slotted rotors will take longer to stop on the em2 and hurt your braking performance this has been tested before.

HPS don't get that dusty and are a great street/ auto-x pad if your looking for a little more get the HP+ but they do squeal and do require some heat to get them to grab

I would stay away from cobalts as they eat through the finish on rims and seriously disappointed in the build quality

Autozone rotors (its a lump of iron, so just get the cheap ones), and axxis Ultimates have always been my brakes of choice. For the track, especially, use the cheap rotors, they cost less to replace when you cook them, and they're all done for in about the same amount of time.
For the track, the pads are alright as long as you can give them some time to cool off between heats, but I would expect them to get a little hairy by the end of the day...
I've played around with both the hawks (HP+) and the axxis pads and prefer the axxis pads for 2 reasons... first, they dont make as much noise or dust, but thats relative.... dont expect them to be clean, and second, because the are far better with pedal modulation. I've found the hawks to be either on, or off, with very little room for finesse in between. Currently I'm running Ultimates on the front, HP+s (had them laying around) on the back (SI brakes)... and the noise from the rears is annoying as hell.

Other than pads and rotors, have you considered upgrading to stainless steel lines? I've heard it provides a huge difference in stopping power and should not be overlooked.
