1 of my friends has a 2008 si and is throwing a cel and getting a clicking noise havent looked at his car yet i know he hasnt done anything to modify his car

the obdII port is located under the driver's side stearing column

 

If it's stock, take it to the dealer. As long as he's under warranty and there's nothing that can deny any warranty work (intake, header, etc) it will be the best option. If it's out of warranty, Autozone can remove the CEL and let you know what the problem is.
