Default Need help, doing a civic 4wd swap

I just got an 89 civic wagon RT4wd and is thinking about doing a B18c1 motor swap. I already have the B20 5speed tranny and a b18c1 long block and axles. My question is what else do i need to make this swap happen? I was told that I might also need the rear diff. from the crv, is that true?

well any help will be greatfully appreciated, thanks

You need the rear differential from a CR-V because if you don't have it then your differerntial and transmission will be spinning at different speeds...

In the one GSR-swapped wagon that I'm aware of, I believe he used the whole CR-V drivetrain.
Google honda civic wagon and see if you can find a forum that specializes in EEs

Bisimoto are in the process of making a B series to D series transmission adapter plate.

I can't wait.

That's exactly what I was thinking, along with a custom oil pan to clear the trans but other then that it would be pretty much a bolt-in affair...

Good luck sourcing another 4wd D-series tranny.

Save your money from the kit, and properly install a CRV drivetrain.

Thank us later

(no knocks on Bisi, knocking on 4wd-D tranny)

You're kidding right? The CRV 4wd system sucks. Perhaps manual CRV transmissions are pentiful where you live, but here, i don't think they were even sold manual. Or if they were, i've never seen one.
