Default Converting from manual to auto

What part is needed for converting from manual to auto other than transmission. I have jdm d15b vtec running p28 with manual transmission in my 90 dx. I am sick of fixing clutch cable bracket and line every 6 mth. I am planning to go auto to get rid of this problem.

Come on now who goes backwards?

You need to get a kick down cable and automatic gas pedal. (A manual trans pedal with cruise control might work, but IDK.) You will need an automatic ECU, especially if you want the TC lock-up to work right. Depending on what manual transmission you have you may or not need axles... (5-speed should be the same as automatics) You need the trans mount, flexplate, and torque converter. An automatic gear selector and trim bezel. The shifter cable and Honda automatic transmission fluid and you should be able to call it a day. I might be forgetting a few odds and ends, but that should be the bulk of it.

This will be a real PITA to do because you have to make holes in the firewall and I want to say the exhaust hump as well. Sounds like a giant waste of time and you should just sell your car or fix the problem as it sounds like you are half-*** fixing it.

Have to agree here. If you fixed it right you wouldn't be touching it every six months. And an hour or two every six months > 10-20 hours on this ugly project [if you had to ask what you need, assume 20+ hours of actual work].
