Default Want info on auto tranny 5th Gen

Hi, I was looking into getting a Prelude but don't really know if i should.

What i found around my area...

A 2001 Prelude Auto with 155k. White. Clean. Hasn't been messed with at all from what i can tell.
No system. Original stereo. No visual signs of a big fat stereo wire going into the cab ever.
Only thing is it has a AEM intake.

I've seen a lot more preludes around here with around 100k miles but all have been lowered and destroyed.

- No i don't want a manual. (why? i just dont feel like driving a manual. if you dont like it then i dont care. go get yourself a manual because i dont want one)

I'm wondering if there is something i should look into?
I heard the autos seemed to break down..
Would it still be as true with an 01?
They had 5years to figure out the problem..
PLus the ones that have lasted this long are probably okay now? o.O

Let me know.. Thankss

Never ever buy a 5th gen auto. I used to have one (a red 1998). Now I own a 2001 5 speed. Again, NEVER EVER buy an auto 5th gen prelude.

Well so far it sounds like this prelude has been well taking care of! Ill just try to baby the auto as much as you can! Im on my second tranny and its still going strong but when it starts to slip again im def doing a 5speed swap but thats just me!

But if your tranny starts to slip you can always get a rebuilt one online!
