95 DX: Replaced axle oil seal, still leaking?

#32 in the pic
Had a minor leak, replaced the seal for about $12 from the dealer. Still leaks, maybe not as much but it still leaks from the passenger side seal where the axle enters the bell housing. Any ideas? The manual doesn't call for any special sealant or procedure aside from driving the seal in using a large socket. Pulled the axle again this morning, tried tapping it again to get it to sit differently/correctly so we'll find out soon if that worked or not...
It's not leaking around the outer edge, however, it's leaking from the center/inside where the axle goes through. Any ideas? The car is a

That's really odd. The only time that I had a leak like that with a new seal, the spring in the seal had came off. Are you sure that have the seal inserted in the right direction? The spring side of the seal(exposed) must be installed toward the inside of the transmission.
Yes, the spring is facing inwards. As far as I know (and hope), the spring is still attached on the backside of the seal. I'd really hate to pull it a third or fourth time
Its a long shot, but maybe the leak can be cause by the axle. On old motors, the crank at the end of harmonic balancer where it seals at the timing cover are sometimes sleeved with brass. The cranks are worn down to a point that it will leak even with a new seal.
