I would try loosening the two screws inside your yellow circle. It looks like they are what holds the combination switches to the column.

You should be able to adjust it with the steering wheel off. IIRC, its got its own set of "teeth" it slides on so it doesn't get out of whack with normal usage. Try removing the air bag and wheel and take a look. Its about a 2 minute job.

I had the same problem on my EH. Your car didn't happen to get stolen recently did it? I have the answer for you but it's a pain to answer without showing what to do in person. It involves a pipe wrench and some major metal rotating action. You're honestly better off getting a replacement column from a junk yard.

Lollerskates. If you look at your picture up top, right where the black plastic cover piece is, towards the right side of the picture, you'll notice that there are basically two parts to the column, the main "shaft" which is solid in the middle, and then one that covers it which is hollow. You have to find a good place to get the pipe wrench on the outer "shaft" and twist it back. I'm also gonna guess that the steering wheel tilt doesn't work very well at this point.

Either that or some serious muscle. But yeah, should do the trick, annoying as hell when your turn signal is not where it should be. Car thieves FTL.

yeah that happens when they brake down the ignition. It bends the whole column. Most people just replace the colum...

Time for a new column. I'm switching mine soon, the stupid ignition switch is broken and you can turn the steering wheel with the key out of the ignition.

Try to drop the column before disconnecting wires. It's tight in there.

So, how is the outer shaft attached to the internal column? Will twisting it forcibly not damage that connection? Or is the internal column just attached to the steering wheel?
