Default FTP subframe brace into ek

Hey i saw this FTP subframe brace for ek chassis on ebay. Im 2 seconds away from buying. Its $120 shipped. It looks just like the ASR without the bling.
Has anyone hearsnof these? Any input is appreciated.

I was about to buy beaks for $95 shipped but its only like 4 metal tabs and some washers
This one looks just like asr it looks beefy looks like it works but ive never heard of them. Even a google search shows nothing. Even on ebay you gotta search "civic subframe" it wont show if you search ftp subframe

I dont need any name brand ****** calling me cheap, i just wanna know humble opinions
Thanks

honestly, ive never heard of them until you just mentioned it. depending on the material its made out of , you cant be for sure the quality/function of the product, because of the brands rep(being a offbrand they probably dont have much)if ftp has a site, check it out and see the products they offer and see if they show the details on the subframe brace. theres no problem with not buying name brand, but i always try and save up that little extra to know that i have good ****. know what i mean?

why not? of course a brace has function, but if he wants it for looks i dont see why he couldnt? thats like lower control arms, besides the fact that they have nice stiff bushings, (with the exception of the adjustable lca's)there pretty much just a form/over function part as well? and you cant tell me alot of people dont have lower control arms.

to all is there own, if he wants this to contribute to some bling in his rear end , let him do it . its his decision and his money. i would just hate to see it wasted on something he will regret purchasing.

well if its for rear sway bar then I guess you can get it. Im just saying that a rear subframe bar doesnt really do anything. Trust me on this. I have these...

It looks like a direct knockoff of the ASR brace. Its hard to say if it would withstand the forces because you dont know if its really made of the same material, what type of bolts it has, etc. I would just shell out the extra $80 and get the real deal. Ive had mine for a couple years and the only thing I dont like is the bolt heads are rusty. If you get this knockoff and the subframe tears then youre out a whole lot more.

You planning on getting a swaybar? Thats the whole point of the brace is to support a bar.

can you post the link to where your getting it from?
honestly id save up the 80-100 more for a asr bar, at least this way you know the quality of the peice.

I also so one by obx but they dont sell it by itself, only in the kit.
And one by KTELLER for $150; but for that price i'll buy ASR

just be careful with knockoff/replica parts off ebay man. There a bunch of ppl on here that will tell you their horror stories, and some that will say otherwise, but the bottom line is the R&D into this product compared to ASR, BEAks,.. etc. is inferior. I would just go with the ASR kit on like JHPUSA.com or something or keep looking for deal on the marketplace here.

As long as you are gonna contact the seller and get the info on the product and you feel that it is up to par with what you want then go for it. The bottom line here is to be careful with those types of parts man.

yeah you learn over the years to just get the best parts because you end up going back and redoing it.

fouund it.
its a straight asr knock off, looks just like it but says ftp. the seller only 37, so id walk away.
70 bucks more you have a asr, trust me i can tell you from experience you really dont want to buy parts like these, i have had no good luck with anything form ebay, except my oem hood latch cable.
headlights, taillights, hood, bumper all from ebay, sure it was cheep and got my car back on the road. but its shitty.
you may even be able to find a used asr bar. just keep your eyes open and talk to your buddys,

Hey hey hey, not all eBay generic crap is complete crap. The intercoolers, supposedly the waste gates, mirrors and some stuff are functional. I have some "spoon" replica mirrors from eBay and they fit great and work and I actually like the way they look. Yeah, you have to adjust them from by pressing the glass itself, but it's tradeoffs like that you have to deal with.

Some things you can't really screw up on too easily, others you should be suspicious of.

i was not saying all things is garbage, i was saying everything i have gotten. i will never buy a ebay part again ever!. somtimes you have good luck with parts and other times you dont, it all depends on the part and the seller. my headlights which arent horribly bad, still look good however my tail lights need washers to sit right, even then when i took them off to real seal them the studs came out of the light.

the last thing you said i thought was the most important part, but I will never ever buy a ebay supension part, ill walk before i do that

never heard of this product for subframe brace. Its just to help with the sway bar but like what teamjdm said it could be made with different materials compared to the asr. WIth a knock subframe might not last or hold as long as the asr will.
