Default Question on removing ac compressor

I want to remove my ac compressor but I was wondering if I can still drive without having ac belt on or do I need like a dummy belt. I'm gonna get my compressor refurbished but I still need to drive around in the mean time. My car is a 89 dx sedan if it matters.thanks

Yeah it happened to me... the harmonics will not be absorbed anymore by the A/C Compressor and they will all go to your cam bearings. Next thing you know your crank will snap in 3 pieces and you can say bye bye to your push rods.

Your motor is fine without an A/C belt ,they were all kidding with you. It'll have less load on the engine which gives you a buttdyno of +3hp

let all the freon out 1st, then take the 2 10mm bolts off the lines, use a shallow end 12 or 14(i think 14)mm socket to take off the 4 bolts that are holding it onto the plate. this all should be done after the belt is taken off

Our motors don't even have camshaft bearings just "saddles"/"guides"... The motors also do not have push rods either... Also the A/C Compressor is used for one thing... to make your A/C work... it has nothing to do with your motor other then being driven by it... that should have hinted to you that it was a joke...

I am pretty positive that the head of the 8mm bolts holding on the A/C Compressor is a 12mm hex head.
