Wow, another one bites the dust, sorry to hear about that lost. Did you get a page from your alarm? ...hear the siren? ...wait, I think I just answered my own question after re-reading the time window it was stolen. Should've stealthed it, ...and that Dez guy is up in the Bay for the weekend. Hope your insurance doesn't give you the run around. Good luck...

Something like that! I'm also on the 8th Civic forum and there's been a few in the Bay Area as well within the past month or so, ...and that's just the 8 Gen Civics (so much for Honda's immobilizer keys). That's why my stealth GPS security system was the first mod to get put in. I don't understand why folks spend all those hard earned dolla's and all that sweat & blood just to put a measily security system. Then they freak out when the insurance company isn't going to comp them for the aftermarket goodies, ...just the KBB wholesale.

thats what i been trying to tell ppl since my stealth alarm saved my 01 gsr last month
at the very least everyone should relocate there hood cable, and the reason no page is if it was just some regular shop that did the install , the brain of the alarm is right under the steering wheel as soon as you cut that, no pages at all takes less than 1min to find it and cut it so they just gotta move fast, sorry for your loss,
all these threads should really make ppl rethink and do research on there current alarm set up if its installed by bestbuy or any alarm shop then its done wrong!!!!!!!!!!!! these places take zero pride in there work and just cram there siren on the firewall and cram the brains of the alarm where all you have to do is rip off the driver kick panel :/ :/ :/ :/
stop the mods do security ppl!!!!

Then they go buy Rotas. Wth?
Yeah I know it's not the same as buying an alarm, but to buy expensive parts for the car but cheap out on the wheels, that's just horrible.
its not cheaping out on buying alarms, this guy had a two way(alarm that pages) its just that ppl are lead to believe by alarm shops or best buy that if you buy this alarm it'll save your car, but a cheap *** ONE WAY alarm that does zero paging installed right against a two way pager installed by best buy ,
the one way alarm will stop the thiefs dead in there tracks and have to make them use a tow truck.
best buy and alarm shops are the real thieves i hate them period selling expensive *** alarms but installing each alarm in the same damn spot so doesnt matter if you bought a 50$ or 300$ alarm from them there both easily bypassed because of there shitty *** install

I will DEFINITELY keep my eyes peeled and write down your license plate and phone number and keep it with me.
I commute between Pleasanton and Newark, so I'm definitely keeping my eyes peeled.

thanks for the comments guys.... still no word on the where abouts of my car though. I'm sure I'll get a phone call later this week sayings its probably been stripped to the bare shell. It still boggles my mind how they stole the car. Even if they were to pop my hood, I had a hood sensor that usually pages my remote if that goes off, or if anything is opened on my car. The neighbors who's windows/doors that are 25 feet away from my car said they didn't hear or see anything. I had no key holes since I was running 4dr door handles on my car. Whoever stole it has been scoping it out though.... my place is about 10-15 minutes to any freeway and deep in our complex. You have to go over 10 speedbumps to get to my parking spot.....
they prob flip the int switch pop the hood disconnect the battery and as for the pager it probably wasnt in range or u didnt notice... then they probably found the brain reconnect the battery bent the autolock and clutch to the side break the steering lock start unscrew the ignition switch and off they go...

very easy dude, they popped your hood thru the fender liner, cut your siren, went inside cut your brain of alarm all that takes about 1min no joke, once the brain is cut NO PAGE, once brain is cut all u gotta do is break ignition and crank car over done deal, thats why you gotta stealth ...
when they tried to steal my car last month, they pop hood FIRST TO CUT siren, when they popped my hood my hood sensor tripped the alarm, they then looked for the siren to cut,..they couldnt find that...so they pulled the battery cable...that did nothing since it has back up battery..they gave up and left...i didnt get up till about 10min after the page..because i was so damn tired i thought i was dreaming when my pager went off
With most 2-way alarms, you won't get a page if they cut the ground to the battery or the security control unit within ten seconds of any sensor trip. Only way to defeat that is to get a battery back up on your control unit and get a battery back up siren. Oh and also stealth install everything. Even so, most pagers are too quiet where most would sleep right through it. That's why a GPS tracking system is also a good way to know where your vehicle is being taken to.
Doing it any other way is a "ricer" version of a security system, ...so to say.
