Squeak when releasing brakes
I get a little squeak when i release my brakes on my 99 ek coupe, my brakes are still good had the rotors cut again and cleaned out my rear drums. Has anyone tried WD40ing the brake pivot? or tried anything else to fix the problem.
Also have the brake light in cluster always on but gets brighter when i pull on the handbrake. heard it was an easy fix just replace or mess with brake sensor, but don't know where to start? thanks in advance...

yea the drums squeak when you release them, happens on alot of drum brakes.
as for the BRAKE light, Id check fluid level or check the float to make sure its not stuck down.

replacing the drums is something you could do if you are bothered by the noise, but later on it could occur again, its just the way the drum brakes are. if you want a full fix of the noise problem you could do a swap to discs. i know thats the extreme and we all dont have the money to drop but thats what i know. i havnt tryed putting wd40 on any brake parts it might make it go away for a little bit but come back twice as loud.
